We believe that everyone has a right to build their own home and in Cornwall this is becoming increasingly more difficult for a number of reasons. We are passionate about the environment and we believe that it is the self build community that leads the way and drives the technological developments for future homes. We want to see and to be able to provide more freedom and support for self builders in Cornwall.

Paul and Charlotte Bearham are the owners of this website and leaders of these development projects. In the past they have renovated and built their own homes. They currently live in an eco-house on the outskirts of Chacewater, which they built in 2011, using the latest technologies, reducing the carbon footprint, water usage and more importantly reducing the living costs and not paying utility companies over extortionate prices! Their house boasts a pellet stove, thermal solar panels, underfloor heating, upgraded insulation to walls, floors and ceilings (using a warm roof system), LED lighting, A+ rated appliances, Whole House Heat Recovery Ventilation, and various other forms of control systems to minimise energy usage.
